Abstract

NHI, Inc. is a leading health information publishing and new technology services company in the United States that has developed proprietary technology to manage and dynamically deliver vast content libraries to its end-users. The Company has focused on the field of integrative medicine with a goal of bridging the gap that exists between conventional medicine and Traditional/Complementary medicine. This focus has led NHI to develop preeminent science-based information databases in Traditional and Complementary Medicine, all of which can be delivered online, via CD Rom, books, newsletters, continuing education programs, or seminars. The design of the editorial review process coupled with the system architecture and functionality has made it possible to keep the vast library of information up to date and easily sustainable. This presentation will address key elements of NHI content and technology development that have resulted in a successful business model.
