Abstract

Antiproliferative effect of goniothalamin was tested on three different Antiproliferative effect of goniothalamin, MCF-7, T47D and MDA MB-231 cells. Results showed that goniothalamin inhibited the growth of all the three cell lines while tamoxifen inhibited the growth of MCF-7 cells and T47D cells only. The growth inhibition of MCF-7 cells by goniothalamin can be reversed by estradiol. Combination of tamoxifen and goniothalamin gave synergistic effect of growth  inhibition of MCF-7  cells.
