Abstract

Given goniothalamin at a cumulative dose of 138.9 mg/kg body weight/day for 1-6 days of pregnancy in mice significantly reduce the DNA synthesis and progesterone level followed by increment of estrogen detected in treated animals compared to control. This compound showed significant antiimplantation effect and the above observations suggest the possible mode of action in the treated mice.
