Abstract

Silat is a famous term for Malay physical exercise. It practice since long time ago especially for Malay Traditional Masseurs. The physical exercise mainly based on animal movement and movements in Muslim pray.
The physical exercises include an excessive stretching of more than one part of body such as muscle, joints and nerve. Silat always be practice at dawn time for the preparation before starting the daily chores.
There is technique of warming –up the body before the practice of silat. Another important component in silat is breathing exercise. The benefit of silat depends on the various silat techniques.
