Abstract

Ayurveda is a highly systematized body of knowledge based on sound foundational principles, and it has a very logical as well as rational thinking process. Most importantly, it is a time-tested knowledge system, in that it has successfully treating people that have various disease conditions through the centuries. It is the root of most ancient philosophies and alternative medicines such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Martial Arts and Yoga, original source of many modern natural healing therapies. To maintain harmony of our body, Ayurveda believes in the treatment of not just the affected part, but the individual as a whole.
