Abstract

Kacip Fatima is considered the “Queen of Malaysian” herbs. It sells well locally but cannot make international inroads as it lacks the needed documentation to accepted by a global audience. The paper details some of the initiatives to make Kacip Fatima more acceptable to a “non Malaysian” audience by develop the needed science and necessary documentation.  Much of the initiatives undertaken represent a unique first for a Malaysian herb.
