Abstract

Worksite is an important target and determinant of health. It provides easy and regular access to employees who make up a relatively stable population and encourage sustained peer support and positive peer pressure.  Worksite wellness program has been associated with a reduction in health risks, promotion of healthy lifestyle and improvement in economic and productivity factors.  This paper will briefly describe the experience of a worksite wellness program which translated theory into practice through lifestyle modification in Kuala Lumpur.
