Rennellia morindiformis is found in Peninsular Malaysia and Sumatra.

Description

Rennellia morindiformis is a shrub or small tree that can reach up to 8 m tall. The leaves are usually obovate or elliptical, 10-26 cm x 3.5-11 cm while the petiole is (0.5-)1.5-4 cm long.

The inflorescence is panicle-like and with 10-40 mm long peduncled. The sepal tube is 0.5-1.5 mm long while the petal tube is 1.5-2 cm long.

The fruit is 1-1.5 cm in diametre.

Ecology / Cultivation

Rennellia morindiformis occurs in rain forest up to 1500 m altitude.
