3.6.23.2 Analysis
Gum arabic are produced from plant exudates as resins and are used for many applications such as in foods. Its export quantities were not very high and exhibited an incosistent profile during the observed years . The initial years saw low export level of the products but from year 2005 to 2007, the export picked up to higher values. In years 2001,2002 and 2004, there were no records of export figures available. The export revenue profile was erratic and the maximum earned was in year 2005 with a value of about RM109,774. There was also wide variations in the costs per kg of products and the values ranged from RM4.38 to RM29.57.
Export-Import price differences per kg pf products showed significant variations during the period. Negative value were observed in 5 years, and for the rest of the period, the values were positive.
