3.6.41.2 Analysis
The quantity exported for the product differed from year to year. These amounts were relatively large and the maximum level was at 1.467 million kg and the lowest value was at 774,227 kg. The revenues collected did not follow similar trend as that of the quantity levels but rose and fell according to unit cost of the product in each year. The costs per kg of the product were relatively low ranging from RM4.44 to RM13.36.
In the accompanying table, the unit cost differences between the export and import values indicated negative values except for years 2005 and 2006 during which, the import quantity data were not declared. It was probable that all the imported substances were utilized locally.
