6.1.4.3 Sub-region: South America
Malaysia’s trading partners in the countries of Southern America were Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. Chile was the major importer of the raw materials which comprised of about 95% of Malaysia’s total exports into the sub-region. The raw material imported was that of mixtures of odoriferous substances used in the food or drink industry. Other countries imported small amounts of other spices and sandalwood.
