The amounts of essential oil of lime purchased by the local industries were relatively small throughout the observed years .The import were high in the initial years but declined significantly after year 2002. The highest total import value for the product was recorded at, RM146.493 in year 2000 and the lowest was in year 2005, with zero value. The highest cost per kg of the product was RM279.42 year 2006.
