2.3.46.2 Analysis
Essential oils of peppermint find their application in medicinal uses and chewing gums. They were imported in relatively moderate amounts and the quantity brought into the country differed significantly from year to year. However, the total values involved in bringing the product appeared to have an increasing profile reflected by the fact that lowest import value was at RM568,898 in year 2001 and the highest at about RM 1.872 million in year 2007. Similarly, the cost per kg of product was relatively moderate.
