Geographical Distributions
Fissistigma manubriatum is distributed in peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Bangka and Borneo.
Description
F. manubriatum is a large liana that can reach up to measure 30 m long.
The leaves are oblong-lance-shaped, with a size measure 5-13.5 cm x 2-4.5 cm that are thickly and shiningly appressed hairy with indistinct tertiary venation below.
The outer petals are measure 2-2.3 cm long. They are reddish when young and greyish when older.
The monocarp is an ovoid-spherical in shape, measuring 2.5-3 cm long and with measure about 1.5-7.5 cm long stalk.
Ecology / Cultivation
F. manubriatum occurs in lowland forest, and is locally common, e.g. in Peninsular Malaysia.
