It can be found in Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, Java and Borneo.

Description

This is a creeping herb, which can grow up to 150 cm long.

The leaves are broadly egg-shaped to ovate-lance-shaped, obtuse to subacute.

The petal is much longer than its sepal, about 4.5-7.5 cm long and bright red.

The seeds are with 1 hair at each end.

Ecology / Cultivation

A. radicans grows in forests on trees and rocks up to 1750 m altitude, and is common in many regions.
