The use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) has been growing rapidly and the common approach to them is increased broadly so that the regulation of CAM has become one of the main goals of WHO activity. Lack of clinical and evidence-based research on CAM is a big problem for its acceptance, hence WHO emphasizes on resolution of this problem and helps countries in this aspect. There are more than 100 kinds of CAM used in different countries, but only a few of them are more common in all over the world like Acupuncture and Homeopathy. Homeopathy is a kind of CAM introduced by Samuel Hahnemann about 250 years ago. This kind of treatment has specific methods for diagnosis and special nature-based drugs. Homeopathy was developed by others and grew rapidly during a short time, which shows its efficiency. But lack of evidence-based information on CAM also affects Homeopathy. In this article we try to analyze the articles related to Homeopathy indexed in PubMed and ISI, dividing them into 4 categories: history, review articles, proving and clinical trials.
