Labisia pothoina, pharmacognosy, authentication, quality control parameters.

Labisia pothoina (Myrsinaceae) locally known as kacip Fatimah is used traditionally for indications related to postnatal health care, women tonic and treatment of various gynaecological disorders. There are several commercially available traditional preparations containing this plant material. There is currently lack of research and publiction on this important plant.
