Laws & Regulations

There is presently no specific law regulating food supplements or herbal products. Notification is not necessary for supplements considered to be food. Safe food supplements containing botanicals and making no claims are allowable.

Fortified and Functional Foods – Pre-market authorization is required from the Ministry of Health including those containing botanical ingredients.
