Cayenne : interaction with Salicylates

Based on pharmacology: An animal study reported that cayenne fruit decreased the bioavailability of aspirin which may alter the effects of these medications and could possibly increase the toxicity and/or the dose needed for treatment. Use with caution. (1) These drugs include aspirin, choline salicylate, sodium salicylate, magnesium salicylate, salsalate, diflunisal, sodium thiosalicylate.
