Chamomile : interaction with Anti-anxiety medications

Based on pharmacology: An animal study reported that constituents contained in chamomile flowers may have benzodiazepine-like activity which may alter the effects of these medications and possibly the dose needed for treatment. Use with caution. (1) These drugs include alprazolam, diazepam, lorazepam, clorazepate dipotassium, chlordiazepoxide, oxazepam, buspirone, doxepin, hydroxyzine, meprobamate.
