Based on pharmacology: Human and laboratory studies have reported that constituents contained in echinacea products may increase immune function which may alter the effects of these medications and possibly the dose needed for treatment. Use with caution. (1) These drugs include prednisone, hydrocortisone, methylprednisolone, prednisolone, betamethasone, budesonide, triamcinolone, dexamethasone, cortisone, beclomethasone, flunisolide, fluticasone, fludrocortisone, mometasone.
