Furosemide has been reported to cause an increased urinary excretion of vitamin C. Other loop diuretics would be expected to have a similar effect based on pharmacology. Supplementation with the affected nutrient may be necessary. (1) These drugs include furosemide, bumetanide, ethacrynic acid, torsemide.
