3.6.39.2 Analysis
Aqueous distillates and aqueous solution of essential oils find applications in chemical industries. Moderate quantities of the product were exported from year to year. From the available data, the range of the amounts traded were from the lowest, at 78 kg to the highest, at 39,635 kg in the years 2005 and 2002.respectively. In the accompanying graph, it can be seen that there was a surge in quantity of the product exported in the year 2002 while in the other years the quantities indicated lower values. Demands for this product were unpredictable depending on consumer preferences. In 2006, quantity data was not declared. The profile for revenue collections followed similar trend to that of the quantities exported and the amounts collected were moderate. Unit costs for the product were fairly reasonable except for the year 2005 when its value reached to about RM434.96.
Comparison between export and import unit costs of the products indicating balanced negative and positive values implying that the products were both exported as well as used locally.
