3.6.38.2 Analysis
Concentrates of essential oils in fats, fixed oils, waxes or the like were exported in increasing amounts initially, but in year 2007 the amount decreased. Figures for year 2005 and 2006 were not available. The exported quantities were low at the beginning and in years 2002, 2003 and 2004 the amounts increased to higher levels. The revenues obtained from the exports had irregular low and high values. The unit costs of the product showed a decreasing profile from a high value of RM289.68 to a low value of RM12.62.
From year 2002 to 2007, unit cost differences between export and import values exhibited negative figures indicating that the product was mostly consumed locally. Only in years 2000 and 2001, were the products traded profitably.

In the above situation it is shown that there were great differences in the price of the product.. The reason might have been similar to that of the previous commodities where the quality of the product played a significant role in determining the export values. This was also true for other products in the subsequent pages where there are great differences in price.
