3.6.30.2 Analysis
With the exception of years 2000, 2005 and 2006, the quantities of essential oils of oranges exported were not recorded on the Malaysian Statistics Department registry, due to non-declaration of the relevant trade data by the Malaysian Royal Custom division. From the available data, there were increases in amounts of product exported from years 2000, to 2005 and 2006 represented rather small quantities amounting to 150 kg, 505 kg and 1,672.6 kg respectively. The revenues collected for the period had the same pattern as that of the quantities of the product exported. The costs per kg of product were moderate and valued at RM33.77, RM14.30 and RM40.60
Except for years 2000 and 2006, the difference between the export-import costs per kg indicated negative values. Most of these products were utilized .for local consumption. The costs differences were moderate and export of the products involved many hidden costs which provided less incentives for the exporters.
