3.6.35.2 Analysis
Oils of geranium, jasmin, lavender or others are usually used as raw materials in the perfumery industry. The quantities exported during the observed period were moderately high ranging from about 58,382 kg to 183,179 kg. Export quantities recorded irregular amounts with the maximum quantity in year 2003. Export revenues followed the same pattern as that of the quantity traded. Their values ranged from about RM796,015 to about RM4.399 million. The unit costs of the products were fairly low with irregular profile mainly showing decreasing trends.
In year 2000, the difference in export-import unit cost was in the positive while for the rest of the period the differences had negative values indicating that most of the products were utilized within the country.
