The graph of seeds of cumin showed a spike in the quantities exported during the period between 2000 to 2007. The export quantities initially increased and decreased thereafter. The maximum quantity exported was in 2002 with a value of 2,637,296 kg. There was a high demand for the seeds during that point of time Revenue profile followed the same pattern as that of quantities exported. The cost per kg of product was relatively high and it ranged from RM1.57 to RM7.20. The graph for the unit cost of the product exhibited irregular profile due to market forces of supply and demand.
Except for the year 2006, the price differences per unit kg of product showed negative values. During this period the demand for the product by foreign countries was significantly reduced and that the exporters were bound to supply to their clients.
