The number of institutions offering T/CM courses in Australia is growing rapidly. Historically, T/CM education started in Australia in the late 1960s. Nowadays, most courses can either lead to a diploma/bachelors degree or as an addition to allopathic education (1).
Generally, the accreditation process of education in Australia is administered by Commonwealth, states, and territories approved by the Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs(2).
Apart from Governmental bodies or self-accrediting universities, there are various T/CM associations usually specializing in a particular modality e.g. Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, and Homoeopathy etc. who provide assistance in accreditation services.
