Entry Requirements
All applicants must be over 17 years of age, and physically fit. They must have a senior certificate, with matriculation exemption. Subjects must include Mathematics, Physical Science and / or Biology.
Applicants must present the following scores:
- 1. Life orientation : Rating 4
- 2. English language either first or second language : Rating 4
- 3. Mathematics : Rating 4
- 4. Life Sciences : Rating 4 AND / OR
- 5. Physical Sciences : Rating 4
In addition to these requirements, applicants must submit a medical certificate.

Learning Outcome
This course will provide students with specialist training and knowledge in diagnoses disorders, cares for the human frame in health and in disease, consulting with and referring to other health care providers. They will be able to provide therapy consisting of manual treatments, nutritional advice, exercise programs, stress management, electrotherapy, massage, acupuncture and traction.

Source Of Accreditation
Since there are no external chiropractic accrediting agency for Africa, the two South African universities have applied to the European Council on Chiropractic Education (ECCE) for accreditation, and the program at the Durban University of Technology has recently achieved said accreditation.
