Entry Requirements

All applicants must:

  • Complete the application form and pay the application fee of $45.00
  • Submitt a brief essay
  • Submitt two letters of recommendation (or only one if it is from a chiropractor),
  • Have a formal admissions interview with a Life West faculty
  • Submitt official documentation of the following academic prerequisites: A) a minimum of 90 semester units or 135 quarter units of transferable college coursework, and B) a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. GPA will be calculated twice; once in the standard fashion and again using only the specified prerequisite courses below. Both calculations must meet the 2.5 minimum.

Learning Outcome

This course will provide students with specialist training and a core of knowledge in the basic sciences, clinical sciences, and related health subjects in order to achieve full competence in the workings of the human body.  This will allow doctors of chiropractic to perform their professional obligations as primary care clinicians such as wellness promotion, health assessment, diagnosis, and chiropractic management of the patient’s health care needs, among others.
