- STPM certificate or other equivalent qualification in science stream with CGPA 2.5 or
- STPM certificate in non-science stream with CGPA 2.5 and credit of two science subjects in SPM or
- STPM certificate with full pass in General Studies paper and two other subjects, plus a partial pass in two other subjects or
- Two full passes at A-Level or
- MSU Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine with CGPA 2.5 or
- Equivalent qualification in a related field and recognized by MSU Senate

Learning Outcome
Students will be guided professionally through a combined traditional lecture with structured practical/laboratory sessions, collaborative tutorials and small group discussions. Assessment is conducted at multifaceted levels both in the theoretical aspects and the hands-on sessions.
