  1. Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine
  2. Bachelor Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (jointly conducted with Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine)
  3. Master Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (jointly conducted with Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine)
  4. Doctor Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (jointly conducted with Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine)
  5. Graduate Diploma in Acupuncture
  6. Certificate in TCM Assistant

Duration Of Training 

  1. Advanced Diploma in TCM: 5 years full time / 7 years part time
  2. Bachelor Degree in TCM: 5 years full time / 7 years part time
  3. Master Degree in TCM: 3 years
  4. Doctor Degree in TCM: 3 years
  5. Graduate Diploma in Acupuncture: 2 years part time
  6. TCM Assistant: 2 years part time

Entry Requirements

  • Diploma and Undergraduate Degree in TCM: Minimum GCE A Level with 2 ‘A’ and 2 ‘O’ subjects passed or equivalent, in line with entry requirements for other university courses
  • Master Degree in TCM:
    • Bachelor degree from a local TCM institution or Bachelor degree of any discipline and has systematically studied TCM or Acupuncture; or
    • Equivalent qualifications (Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine or Acupuncture for at least three years post qualification) and has been in the specified profession relevant to the subject registered for study in Master Degree Course for at least three years
  • Doctor Degree in TCM:
    • Practitioner with Master Degree and a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine or similar field; or
    • Master Degree student expecting to obtain Master Degree before commencement of Doctor’s Degree Course; or
    • Bachelor Degree with at least six years post qualification and possesses qualifications equivalent to Master Degree.
  • Graduate Diploma in Acupuncture: 2 years postgraduate in medical or dental experience and valid registration (either full or conditional) with the Singapore Medical Council and Singapore Dental Council
  • TCM Assistant course: GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent

Learning Outcome

  • Upon completion of the Advanced Diploma and Bachelor Degree courses, students will be qualified to sit for the STRE.
  • Upon completion of the Graduate Diploma in Acupuncture course, students will be qualified to sit for the SARE.
