Air gamat. Stichopus variagatus, palm oil, creams.

"Air Gamat", an aqueous fluid obtained from gamat ( Stichopus variagatus ) and palm oil were used to formulate creams suitable for topical application. Stable creams with good rheological properties were formed when non-ionic surfactants were used as emulsifiers. The creams possess either plastic or pseudoplastic with thixotropic characteristics or plastic flow. Anionic or cationic surfactants were poor emulsifiers for air gamat because the cream formed cracks after a few hours.
